Analog And Digital Camera.

Analog camera:
To understand the difference between Digital and Analog images we should have a look at the Digital and analog cameras.
A camera has generally a closed hollow with opening at one side to give entrance to light and a recording surface to capture the light at another end or inside.
Analog camera simply refer to the camera a film as a printing paper images which are taken from it. The original image which is analog one is obtained by a chemical process. Fact is that analog cameras have 35mm wide film which is greater than digital one.

The main advantage of analog camera over digital camera is the picture quality. Images obtained from analog cameras are sharp. As soon as the light from the shutter falls on the film the Negative image of the object is obtained.
The most disadvantage of analog cameras are the camera settings. Different effects on images which would come out after chemical reaction need to take care before picturing.

Digital camera:
When digital cameras are concerned there is no fear of film exposure and storage is done in rewritable semiconductor memory devices which are more durable.
The difference between digital and analog camera photography is that the film used in analog cameras is replaced by charged coupled device which contain million of photosensitive elements.
When a picture is clicked from a digital camera ray of light incidents upon the photosensitive element. It records the intensity of light as a charge depending upon the configuration of the image. These electric charges are stored and with the help of analog to digital converter they are given unique code for range of intensity. This range decides the quality of Digital image.

In some conclusive words Digital cameras have mare speed over Analog cameras. Analog cameras need more manual work while Digital cameras are semi-automatic. Picture quality is main advantage of Analog cameras.

So which one will u prefer....?

What is "Digital Image Processing".

Here we are in the world of Digitalisation. Most of the photos we see are Digital. They are pictured with a Digital camera.
As a technology, analog is the process of taking an audio or video signal and translating it into electronic pulses.Digital on the other hand is breaking the signal into a binary format where the audio or video data is represented by a series of "1"s and "0"s.

Digital versus analog can refer to method of input, data storage and transfer, the internal working of an instrument, and the kind of display.
Here we come to the main point which is Processing of a Digital image. A
Digital Image contains information in forms of "0" and "1". By the use of computer algorithms we can perform processing."MAT-LAB" is a main way to process the Digital Images. We can show out each and every point of a Digital Image in the form of "X" and "Y". We can also figure out the colour composition of each  point in the basic three colours RED, GREEN and BLUE.
So how can we change the intensity of a point or part of image...?
With the help of MAT-LAB Tool boxes we can change the brightness and color content of a image. We can turn a colored image into a black and white image or a pure RED,GREEN or BLUE one.
Above two images are perfect example. In first one the color image has Green,Blue and Red component. While in second image ratio of colors are different.
